Seriously, we have news... Submitted March 10th, 2006 pm 10:39 PM from Nate |

RIDING SHOTGUN IS COMPLETE PEOPLE!!! That's right... we are in fact alive over here at Nateandsteve.com, we've simply awakened from the hibernation we've been in since starting our TokyoPop assignment. This week we put in the last of our material and we simply await the response and publication for the book. Here's the date to remember.... JULY 11, 2006!!!! Riding Shotgun will be on shelves and ready for your purchase. A note to some readers, this book has been given a 16 yrs and up rating, so expect some language and violence we felt didn't belong in Nate and Steve. However, it is good, fun reading... Light hearted, with a little more edge. What does that mean exactly, "edge?" well, I dunno, it's what people say I guess. Point is, it's the best book TokyoPop ever put out, that's for sure! I know what yer thinkin' : "But Nate, what if we can't wait till July?" Well, my best advice is to Pre-Order!! That's right, The book is available for order at many fine retailers. Sites such as Amazon.com, Booksamillion.com, Buy.com, Barnesandnoble.com and of course, TokyoPop.com. Here's a new one I just found recently, http://www.perseusbookspromos.com/docs/Riding%20Shotgun%20Volume%201.pdf It even has a slight description, that only remotely gets close to what the real storyline is. Their explaination is a little off the mark, like they're not reading the same book I wrote, but that's ok... ugh marketing. Anyhow, all that's not to say you'll have it in your grubby hands, but at least you will have reserved your copy. Thank you for reading through this lengthy posting, but when you've been away as long as we have, there's plenty to say. ps. Look for Riding Shotgun Volume 2 as well. I just turned in a script outline... |

Hey, all you NateandSteveites out there! Its been awhile since we've spoken. Sorry to give all you die hard fans the cold shoulder, but, rest assured, we've been busy. Chapter 5 of "Riding Shotgun" is nearly complete. Almost halfway, people! WOO HOO! Only five more months of grueling, sleepless drawing. Right now, the nateandsteve.com "Buy it" feature is inoperative. But you all have multiple copies of our fantasic books anyway. However, we know you want to buy more for your friends and family, so as soon as I get new paypal links made, I'll let you know, and reopen the book order floodgates. ALSO, yours truly, Tracy Yardley! is drawing pencils for Archie Comics' "Sonic the Hedgehog." A dream of mine since I was about 13. So keep a sharp eye on your comic stands for your Yardstick fix. That's it for now, nerds. Urinate involuntarily in anticipation of our upcoming masterworks, and tell your friends that they might join you in the bladder emptying festivities. Tracy! |

Or, maybe after you finish reading this news update. Also, I've finally put up our first official piece of Fanart in the "Samples" section, courtesy of Sarah Bryant aka "Spazz". Well, back to the grind. Tracy! |

The beginnings of greatness Submitted April 15th, 2005 pm 3:52 PM from Nate |
|
There's no link as of yet, but for all those who can't get enough of Nate and Tracy (especially the ladies, wink wink) you can see the beginnings of the RIDING SHOTGUN website at www.ridingshotgun.net It is a .NET, NOT .COM because that was taken by something far less important I'm sure. But you can see what we're up to, and get a taste of what's coming. It's a little darker, a little more gritty, and the type of story I've been wanting to write. So check it out and get back to us here at Nateandsteve.com... There is no e mail at the other site. So Holla at a playa! West SIDE! NATE |

Hiatus Submitted February 18th, 2005 am 1:05 AM from Nate |

Nate and Steve fans, we have good news and bad news... The bad news is that Nate and Steve will be on hiatus for an as yet undetermined amount of time. The good news is that Tracy and I have sealed a deal with the publisher Tokyo Pop on a project we developed called RIDING SHOTGUN!! We're on a 10 month schedule and we should have the first, of three 180 page volumes, out in Early 2006. I know how rough it will be to have to read and re-read your old Nate and Steve books over and over just to get your fix, but look at it this way. With the GRAND amount of industry cloute we will develope, we're sure to have a deal signed for Nate and Steve shortly there after... We will, however, still be making the convention rounds this season. Look for us in Orlando next weekend and Charlotte in June. So Nate and Steve is on hold for a while, but Nate and Tracy are in full swing putting out the next great comic franchise, RIDING SHOTGUN!!! |

best comic I've read in years Submitted January 22nd, 2005 pm 10:18 PM from Nate |

One of the best comics i've read in a loooong time (outside of NATE AND STEVE, of course) ONI PRESS has put out WET MOON, written and drawn by our good friend and NATE AND STEVE star, Ross Campbell!! It is the first book of his grand opus. I've seen it through its whole developement. While you may think me partial because of the slew of NATE AND STEVE plugs, check it out it's truly is great. Think Goth-girls meet Seinfeld. It's really great, no lie. WET MOON, ask your local comic retailer. |

Issue 3 Here! Guestbook Gone Submitted December 7th, 2004 pm 1:01 PM from Tracy |
|
Well, fans. Issue 3 is all done and you can buy yours today!! In other news: We're taking the guestbook away for now. We simply receive too many spam entries, and we don't want links to disreputable sites hanging around our guestbook. Have no fear, however. You can still write us email. And if we become innundated with enough mail, maybe we can give back the guestbook. Ah, its true. You never appreciate what you've got until its gone. |

ISSUE #3 DONE!!! Submitted November 27th, 2004 am 12:59 AM from Nate |

Okay so we are what, 2+ months off the deadline we set? Well the wait is over. Issue three is indeed all finsihed. It's been a wait for sure, but one that was well worth it, we promise! Also, Tracy is already 6 pencilled pages into issue 4, so wait on that! It seems almost fitting that we be late with this book... Why? Read it to find out! Nate |
